Parisi is a family-run business that started off with a greengrocers in Rose Bay. Father and son duo, Chris and Julian Parisi, opened up a wholesale business supplying fresh fruits and vegetables to 90 restaurants across the Sydney CBD, before branching out and opening this small cafe inside QVB.
Chris and Julian are big supporters of local produce and farmers. Every piece of fruit and vegetable has been inspected by Chris Parisi, who is the head buyer for the company, and has years of experience as the head of Sydneyís most trusted greengrocers, Parisiís. They source and buy all of their products straight from the markets every morning, getting up at 5am to peruse the Flemington Markets.
This produce is used in their cafe, especially in their popular chocolate-dipped offerings. In a week, Parisi uses close to 6500 punnets of strawberries across all their stores, and serve over 1400 customers in a day at QVB alone.
